Purpose of the guides

Our guides aim to help players make practical decisions: choose a specialization, understand a mechanic, plan an upgrade or prepare for a raid. We distinguish game data, such as an item source, from recommendations that depend on a raid composition or personal goal.

Check the version

Phase 3 guides describe TBC content. Where Anniversary rules affect access or progression, the page should identify that scope and link to the relevant announcement or reference. Older progression rules should not be assumed to apply unchanged to a newer release.

Sources and limits

Use linked Wowhead item and quest records to check names, effects and objectives. BiS references are linked on individual lists. Official Blizzard announcements are the reference for announced release changes. A linked source does not mean that every sentence on a page has been independently verified.

BiS, talents and rotation priorities are recommendations. Set bonuses, caps, encounter duties and available gear can change the best choice. We do not present these lists as character-specific simulations or claim that every guide was tested in a live raid.

Updates and corrections

Where a date is shown on a guide, it refers to a stated content update. Merely opening a page does not refresh that date. A correction report is most useful when it includes the page URL, the disputed statement, the relevant game version and a source or reproducible example.
