Feral Tank Druid Phase 3 BiS
Bear gearing is encounter-dependent: armor, stamina and avoidance matter more than chasing a single universal list.

Feral Tank Druid Stats & Caps
Use these priorities to evaluate alternatives instead of treating the BiS table as a list of mandatory replacements.
- 1Crit immunity
- 2Armor
- 3Stamina
- 4Agility / Dodge
- 5Hit / Expertise for threat
Know the cap before you swap gear
Feral tanks do not use Defense gear in the same way as plate tanks; Survival of the Fittest is central to crit immunity. Prioritize armor and stamina, then add threat stats once the encounter is stable.
Best Gems & Enchants
These are strong Phase 3 defaults. Socket bonuses and cap requirements can make a hybrid gem better than a pure throughput gem.
Phase 3 Gearing Alternatives
Black Temple and Hyjal loot is contested. A strong gearing plan needs more than one path.
Maintain crit immunity
Never trade away the defense/resilience needed to avoid critical hits from raid bosses.
Use encounter sets
Effective health, avoidance, threat and resistance sets can all be correct depending on the boss.
Threat is a real stat
Once survival is comfortable, threat-oriented swaps can materially improve raid DPS.
Gearing priorities
Bear gearing is encounter-dependent: armor, stamina and avoidance matter more than chasing a single universal list.
Phase 3 is centered on Black Temple and Hyjal Summit, but several Phase 2, crafted and reputation pieces remain competitive. The source column makes it easy to plan upgrades boss by boss.
