What the spec brings

Ferocious Inspiration, Misdirection, traps, Hunter’s Mark and strong sustained single-target damage.

✓ Pet uptime is a major part of your DPS, not a side detail.✓ Relearn shot rhythm during Bloodlust instead of forcing a slow static sequence.✓ Melee weaving is optional and only worthwhile when movement does not cost ranged attacks.

Rotation & How to Play

1Avoid clipping Auto Shot; weave Steady Shot into the shot timer.
2Use Kill Command immediately after eligible critical strikes.
3Use Multi-Shot when it fits without delaying the next Auto Shot.
4Stack Bestial Wrath, Blood Fury/Berserking and haste windows intelligently.
5Keep the pet on target and move it out of lethal cleave or ground effects.
Phase 3 rule: mechanics and uptime beat a perfect theoretical sequence. Black Temple and Hyjal repeatedly force movement, target swaps, dispels, interrupts or add control, so adapt the priority instead of freezing when the ideal rotation is interrupted.

Gearing

Stat Priority & Caps

General priority

  1. Ranged Hit to cap
  2. Agility
  3. Attack Power
  4. Crit
  5. Haste

Cap notes

The ranged special hit target against raid bosses is 9%. A Draenei Heroic Presence aura can reduce the rating you need by 1%. Do not keep stacking hit once your actual raid setup reaches the cap.

Always calculate caps with your real talents, party buffs, racial effects and encounter debuffs.
