Know the cap before you swap gear
Special attacks need 9% hit, while dual-wield white swings have a much higher miss cap. Hit can therefore continue to have value after the special cap, but expertise and strong weapon upgrades are also premium.
Best Gems & Enchants
These are strong Phase 3 defaults. Socket bonuses and cap requirements can make a hybrid gem better than a pure throughput gem.

Black Temple and Hyjal loot is contested. A strong gearing plan needs more than one path.
Weapon damage matters most
A weapon upgrade can outweigh several small armor upgrades for Arms, Fury and Retribution.
